Two classically trained musicians,
friends and colleagues, who discovered that both have a passion for a remarkable instrument ... the chromatic harmonica STEVE FORDINGTON has been a party pianist for nearly 40 years, and has played at hundreds of functions in venues ranging from stately homes, Oxbridge colleges, department stores and shopping centres, halls, conference centres and private houses. He has a vast repertoire of several hundred songs and numbers across many genres and also plays chromatic harmonica, double bass, conducts, composes and directs musical theatre shows. Steve is a songwriter, has published many works and is currently working on two books. He was recently awarded the ‘Freedom of Classic FM’, acknowledging 40 years’ music teaching.
GARY ITALIAANDER is an internationally renowned photographer. A friend of the late, great Larry Adler, Gary knows more than a thing or two about the chromatic harmonica which he started playing as a child. His repertoire ranges from popular songs, classical and jazz standards with a smooth, recognisable and effortless style.
